The „Barefoot and Generation“ Park Schmidtheim as well as numerous hiking and biking trails invite you to relax, explore and discover. The signposted hiking trails Eifelsteig and the Eifeler Quellenpfad are both very close by.
The historical past of Schmidtheim and the surrounding villages is reflected in the original timber-framed houses, beautiful churches, and imposing castles. The old town centres remain true to themselves and are extensively and painstakingly maintained and cared for by dedicated local groups to preserve the cultural heritage of this region.
There is plenty of recreational fun for all ages to be had. Explore the flora and fauna in the surrounding area with rental bikes. The Dahlemer Binz aviation centre offers recreational sightseeing flights as well as solo or tandem parachute jumps. Motorsport enthusiasts can enjoy the outdoor go-kart track at the Dahlemer Binz Kartbahn.
